Tamwila: Journal of Sharia Economics, published twice a year, is a high-quality, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that provides an international scholarly forum for research on Islamic economics, Islamic finance, Islamic business, Islamic social finance, financial technology, and the halal economy. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to these fields, the journal brings together diverse theoretical, empirical, and methodological perspectives. It publishes high-quality open-access peer-reviewed articles addressing economic, financial, business, technological, institutional, regulatory, social, and other contemporary dimensions of Islamic economics and finance. The journal aims to become a scholarly platform for new findings, theoretical developments, empirical evidence, and critical discussions concerning Islamic economics and its application in contemporary economic systems.

The journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from relevant disciplines. Articles must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under review or consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted manuscripts are subject to preliminary evaluation by the editors and subsequent peer review in accordance with the journal's peer-review policy. Novelty, theoretical or empirical contribution, methodological rigor, and the relevance and recency of the research issues are important considerations in publication decisions. Submissions that substantially fail to comply with the journal's formatting, scope, or manuscript requirements may be rejected during the initial editorial screening.

Articles should be written in American English and should normally contain approximately 6,500–8,500 words, including the main text, tables, figures, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submissions must include an abstract of approximately 200 words and five keywords. Quotations, passages, terminology, and words in local or foreign languages should be accompanied by an appropriate English translation where necessary for international readership.

Tamwila: Journal of Sharia Economics accepts electronic submissions through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register and log in to the journal website before submitting their manuscripts.
